Connecting Communities

At Little Things for Tiny Tots we understand that place is closely connected to our experiences of life. Unfortunately, we also know that many of the families who are most in need of essential baby items are not always located near one of our existing client social service organisations (most are based in metropolitan Perth), which is why we decided to go remote!

Following an eight month regional delivery trial between 2019-2020, which was generously funded by the QBE Foundation, we have now established the Connecting Communities program.

Connecting Communities supports collection of pre-loved and new essential baby items from the Perth community. Items are then recycled and gifted to regional families who are at-risk, or in need of support.

When basic needs are met care givers have increased resources for living expenses which allows them more space to connect and play with their baby.

Funding from WA Charity Direct will support purchasing of required material aid items to supplement donation shortfall and program delivery costs.

We've also been supported by wonderful partners, providing us free or low-cost transport. Acknowledging Australia Wide Haulage, Victory Freightlines, Sands Fridge Lines, CTI Logistics, Freight Lines Group, Bishops Transport, Northline, Direct Couriers, Transitainer and the ever-awesome team at Termico.

Deliveries of new and preloved material aid items are being sent to regional social service organisations in Broome, Bunbury, Busselton, Carnarvon, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Leonora, Newman, Northam, Hedland and Roebourne.

Community support has been invaluable in us helping vulnerable families across regional WA.
